He is a creator. Working under his pseudonym, R.H.Bless, he is also an American film director, producer, writer, editor, actor, and emcee. His production company, Block Exchange Ent & Films, has produced over 100 music videos for many independent and established artists since 2007, over 10 short film projects, 7 documentaries, and a few promo commercials.
R.H made his independent feature film directorial debut with Easter Sunday (2014) which he also wrote and produced, and has since written and directed such films as Something Unorthodox (2016), Hope Well (2018), and Father Be With Us (2019). R.H. has also acted in 4 of his own projects.
R.H.’s projects have addressed gun violence in the black community, race relations, the impact of religion and spiritual beliefs in the urban community, interracial relationships, the advancements of African American women in media, gang violence, and other issues related to families.
R.H. has received many acknowledgements and accolades from his peers and industry professionals, and has had his films featured and screened at notable festivals in New York City.
R.H. Bless began as a lyricist and independent Hip Hop artist in New York and has toured and performed with a host Hip Hop artists. After writing treatments for and directing countless music videos for himself as well as various artist from east to west coast, he evolved into a self-taught cinematographer and guerrilla-styled independent film-maker on the streets of Brooklyn, New York. Later, he went on to hone his craft and pursued a higher education in cinematography, directing, and screenwriting, at Full Sail University, with the goal to write and direct for network television.
RASHEEN "R.H.BLESS" HILL was born to be a director. As a child, there was nothing he enjoyed more than going to the movies or the theatre, absorbing the scenes and stories like a sponge. Growing up, R.H was blessed to turn his passion into a successful career.
